1. Pretreatment equipment
Oil storage tank: Stores raw grease, often equipped with heating devices such as coils or jackets to maintain grease flow.
Filtration equipment: Remove impurities from grease (e.g. centrifuge, plate and frame filter).
Metering device: accurately measure the feeding ratio of oil and lye (such as flow meter, weighing system).
2. Saponification reaction equipment
Saponification Kettle (Reactor):
Material: stainless steel (such as 304/316L) or carbon steel lined with anti-corrosion material.
Structure: With jacket or coil, can be heated by steam/thermal oil; Equipped with agitators (paddle, anchor, etc.) to facilitate mixing.
Function: Oil and lye (NaOH/KOH) undergo saponification reaction under heating conditions.
Alkaline preparation tank: dissolved sodium hydroxide/potassium hydroxide, equipped with cooling system (heat dissipation due to alkali dissolution).
3. Auxiliary equipment
Heating System:
Steam boiler, electric heater or thermal oil furnace that provides the required temperature for the reaction (usually 70-100°C).
Mixing system:
Motor-driven mechanical agitator or magnetic agitation to ensure uniform reaction.
pH control device: monitor the pH of the reaction system to ensure complete saponification.
4. Separation and washing equipment
Salinization equipment (e.g. soap production):
Add saturated brine to separate the soap base and glycerin, stir and let stand for layering.
Centrifuge/separator: Separates soap granules from waste liquid (glycerin water).
Washing Tank: Wash the soap base with water to remove residual alkali and impurities.
5. Post-treatment equipment
Drying equipment:
Spray drying tower (powdered soap) or vacuum drying oven (block soap).
Forming equipment:
Stripping machine: extruding the soap base into strips.
Dicing machine/impression machine: Cutting and printing soap shapes.
Packing equipment: automatic packing machine or manual packing line.
